The Design Process

Successful interior design is a collaborative venture between our clients and Burgess Loh Interiors. The design process has many crucial stages. Most important are the exchange of ideas during this dynamic process. The Interview

Burgess Loh Interiors will set up an appointment to interview you. This interview is very important in determining the scope of services which the interior designer will provide and is a good opportunity for both interior designer and client to see if they will work well together. Burgess Loh Interiors creates a dialog with clients early in the design process to ensure the final space reflects the unique tastes of each client.

Scope of Services

This list or outline is used to define particular parameters of the job requested by the client. This process is a good check point to insure communication is clear on the scale and range of the process, and also helps budget design time for both client and Burgess Loh Interiors. Our firm will present a scope of services along with a letter of agreement of the design contract to outline all design fees, purchasing fees and retainer involved with the project's scope.

Preliminary Phase (Planning Phase)

Once an agreement has been reached about scope of services and the contract has been signed, Burgess Loh Interiors begins the preliminary research and planning of the project. This may include working sketches, preliminary space planning, design concept, color analysis and style direction. This is a very important stage for the client to contribute ideas about the project. The interior designer will help focus ideas to create a design solution tailored for the client.

Final Planning and Implementation Phase

After an initial design plan has been approved, the interior designer will do the final research to pull the project together and organize the process. After final presentation, client agreement and necessary deposits, Burgess Loh Interiors will commence all special orders and all project management and supervision according to the design contract.

Installation and Final Evaluation

This is an exciting stage for both client and designer when the entire project comes together during the final installations of the job. After careful planning and execution, Burgess Loh Interiors presents a beautiful interior satisfying all of the client's needs and dreams for an enjoyable, livable dream space.
